Do you like festivals? Do you think they are important to the emerging filmmaker?
What was great about the festival you attended and what didnt you like?
I might be interested in using your responses in a film I am making about festivals and filmmakers.Thanks.

here's a comment: 28 million Americans are hearing impaired. virtually all films in festivals are not closed-captioned. (except for non-English foriegn films) My film will have captioning.

I am sorry to say it but festivals are really like pissing in the rain....
What matter is if your film gets distro--Which is pretty much independant from festivals. The way you get yourfilm picked up is through the market. You shop your script at places where people are buying...Festivals have become places where people primere.
They are a waste of time. Not because you don't get free booze and meet some great people but they realy are just Pomp and Piss but not much else.
Good Luck
